Porous or rough surfaces will require additional paint for the first coat. Complicated mouldings and fittings will require extra paint. Surfaces being painted for the first time normall require a coat of sealer undercoat. Please remember to measure doors, windows, and other areas that may not be painted (width x height) and subtract the square metreage from the overall project. Quantity of paint is calculated at 14 sq metres for interior and exterior walls, and 12 sq metres for ceilings.
